Lingonberry pie


Ingredients for Making Lingonberry Pie

Cooking Lingonberry Pie:

Step 1: Prepare the margarine.


Fold a packet of margarine in a saucepan, for convenience, the ingredient can be cut into small pieces. Put everything on medium or slow fire and melt, stirring with a whisk all the time until the margarine becomes liquid.

Step 2: Knead the dough.

Pour the melted margarine into a deep plate, add sour cream to it and break the eggs there. Mix well. Now add sugar and a baking powder to the other ingredients and sift the flour without stopping stirring. It is best to add it in portions so that flour lumps do not form and the mass is completely uniform in consistency. You should have a dough that resembles sour cream in density.

Step 3: Prepare the lingonberry berries.


Sort the lingonberry berries, picking only ripe fruits, without visible damage and whole. Put lingonberries in a colander and rinse several times with warm running water. Shake to get rid of excess moisture.

Step 4: Add the lingonberries to the dough.


Carefully add the washed cowberries to the dough. Shuffle everything carefully. The berries should be evenly distributed throughout the test, but it is important not to crush them.

Step 5: Bake a lingonberry pie.


Lubricate the baking dish with a little butter. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Pour the dough into the mold, helping yourself with a spatula, level the baking dish and send it to the preheated oven to bake until cooked. It usually takes 25-30 minutes. Check readiness by piercing the cake with a toothpick, there should not be pieces of dough on it. Once the baking is complete, turn off the oven and let the product stand still 10 minutes. Then proceed to serve the pie on the table.

Step 6: Serve the lingonberry pie.


Serve lingonberry pie cooled to room temperature. Simply remove it with a spatula from the mold and transfer to a flat dish. You can decorate the dessert with a very small amount of powdered sugar or condensed milk. In any case, it will turn out very tasty and sweet.

- Instead of fresh cranberries, you can also use frozen. They do not need to be thawed beforehand.

- Such a pie can be baked not only with cranberries, but also with cranberries.
